Help With a Fear of Dogs, From the Comfort of Your Own Home

A fear of dogs can affect where you walk, who you visit, how you travel and how safe you feel in everyday situations.

The fear may be connected to a bite, a frightening encounter or an experience that happened many years ago. In some cases, you may not know exactly where the fear began. I offer private online sessions designed to help clients change how they respond to that fear without needing to travel or be placed near a dog.

    In-person & online flexibility

You Will Not Be Asked to Approach or Interact With a Dog

The session takes place online while you remain in your own home. You will be fully awake and in control throughout. There is no requirement to travel to a training venue, meet a dog or take part in exposure exercises during the session.

My role is to guide you through a focused process in a calm, private and respectful way.

    Gentle Support

Who May Benefit From a Session?

This service may be relevant when a fear of dogs:

Causes anxiety or stress during everyday walks
Makes visiting friends or family with pets difficult
Affects travel, work, or outdoor leisure time
Leads you or your family to avoid parks and public spaces
Developed after a bite or frightening encounter
Has continued for many years without improvement
    Began recently and feels overwhelming
Feels out of proportion to the immediate situation
Affects a parent, carer or family member
Creates distress even when a dog is seen at a distance

You do not need to justify the fear or feel embarrassed about it. The aim is to understand the response and help you move towards feeling calmer and more in control.

    Focused NLP Method

    A Focused Online NLP Session

I am a qualified Neuro-Linguistic Programming practitioner and offer focused online sessions for people with a fear of dogs.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) uses guided mental processes and communication techniques intended to help a person change an established response or pattern. A session typically lasts between 30 and 45 minutes, delivered online so you remain in a comfortable, familiar space. It is almost always resolved in a single session.

    Dual Expertise

A Practitioner Who Understands Dog Behaviour

My background combines NLP practice with 25+ years' experience rehoming and training rescue dogs.

This means I understand both the human experience of fear and the behaviour that people may find difficult to interpret when they encounter a dog. You will not be judged, pressured or told that your fear is irrational.

    Clear and Realistic Expectations:

Some clients may notice a meaningful change after one focused session. However, individual experiences vary and a particular outcome cannot be guaranteed. If further support appears appropriate, I will discuss that with you honestly.

This service is not emergency mental-health care and is not a replacement for medical or psychological treatment where that is required. If your fear is connected to significant trauma, panic attacks or wider mental-health concerns, you may also wish to speak to a suitably qualified healthcare professional.
